It’s hard to put into words. I don’t know that my parents ever had any “extra” money, but I don’t remember a single time I went to bed hungry. I was taught at an early age not to waste. Hence, I did not spend every penny I earned and therefore ended up with some extra. I feel bad that there is so mcuh waste in this country and yet there are children going to bed hungry every night. So you see, I have no choice but to share at least a little of my excess. Plus, if you truly make 7 meals per dollar, that is truly “bang for the buck.” More power to you. That is way better than I do.
