I had always heard about the food banks growing up in Phoenix. While working for the federal government, an individual came from St. Mary’s Food Bank to talk during the annual CFC drive the government has to donate to various charities (can’t remember who came). My husband and I decided then that if we could afford to buy food for ourselves, we could afford to contribute to those who could not.
