From the start of this organization I have believed in the attempt to make the lives of suffering families and individuals easier by providing sustenance for the body. I can not imagine a life without adequate food. The thought of hungry children is heartbreaking. I recall watching my mother hand out sandwiches to the homeless in the 1930’s, which taught me at an early that there are those who are hungry and need help. Thank you St. Mary’s. You have undertaken a huge job and I like being part of that.
