Thanks to partnerships with local grocery and retail stores, St. Mary’s Food Bank and our grocery rescue agencies can pick up and distribute millions of pounds of food each year that would have otherwise been unnecessarily discarded.
We partner more than 440 retail stores across Arizona and, in fiscal year 2024, we rescued almost 22 million pounds of food including high-quality protein, produce, deli, bakery, and dairy goods.
We cannot accomplish our mission without the local business community and we believe the best way to end hunger in Arizona is by working together!

Donations of farm-fresh, locally grown produce make a difference in the health and wellness of hungry families, children, and seniors in Arizona and beyond.
We partner with more than 20 produce growers and more than 20 produce wholesalers and annually, we rescue eight million pounds of produce.
We also partner with the Southwest Produce Co-op and, in fiscal year 2024, rescued 14.5 million pounds of produce.
We are very proud of our Citrus Gleaning Program which runs from January 13 to March 30 and generates millions of pounds of citrus for the community.
More information about the Gleaning Program can be found here.
